About the Fatima Rosary Group

The Fatima Rosary Group gathers parishioners together to pray the Rosary, grow in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and bring our prayers and intentions before God.

The Rosary invites us to reflect on the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of His Mother, Mary. As we pray together, we place our families, parish, community, and the needs of the world into God’s hands.

Whether you pray the Rosary every day or are just beginning this beautiful devotion, you are welcome to pray with us.

When We Meet

Our monthly gathering includes time to visit with one another and pray the Rosary together.

Why Pray the Rosary?

The Rosary is a beautiful Catholic prayer that leads us more deeply into the life of Christ. Through the mysteries of the Rosary, we meditate on important moments in the lives of Jesus and Mary.

Saint Padre Pio said, “the Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.” The Rosary remains a treasured prayer of the Catholic Church and a beautiful way to turn our hearts toward Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima

The Fatima Rosary Group is inspired by the message of Our Lady of Fatima, who appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917.

The message of Fatima calls us to prayer, conversion, penance, and devotion to the Rosary. The Rosary has a special place in this message as a means of turning our hearts toward God and praying for peace.

Our monthly gathering gives us an opportunity to respond to this call through prayer and devotion.

Prayer Intentions

When we gather to pray the Rosary, we bring the needs of our parish, families, Church, and world before the Lord.

You are welcome to bring your own prayer intentions, including prayers for:

• Family and loved ones
• Those who are sick or suffering
• Peace in our world
• Vocations to the priesthood and religious life
• Our parish and parish community
• Those who have died
• Conversion and a deeper relationship with God
• Your personal intentions

Learn to Pray the Rosary

The Rosary can be prayed individually or with others. If you are unfamiliar with the Rosary, do not worry. You are welcome to come and pray with us and learn along the way.

  • “O My Jesus” prayer is the prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima and is included as an optional prayer after each decade:
    • “O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Your mercy.”
      Origins

      • Given by Our Lady: The Virgin Mary taught this prayer to three shepherd children (Lucía, Francisco, and Jacinta) during her apparition at Fátima, Portugal, on July 13, 1917.

      • Purpose: Our Lady shared the prayer after showing the children a vision of hell, urging them to pray and make sacrifices for the salvation of souls.

      How It Is Used

      • In the Rosary: It is traditionally prayed right after the Glory Be and before announcing the next mystery.

      • Focus: It directs a direct plea for mercy and forgiveness straight to Jesus Christ within the meditative cycle of the Rosary.
