Finance Council

Along with the MEADANGELS Ambassadors, the Finance Council is the main advisory body of parishioners to the pastor. They are mandated by Canon Law and governed by the diocesan norms of the Pastoral Handbook (available on line), Parts 7-11.

The Finance Council oversees financial matters, ensuring transparency and integrity. Members are appointed by the pastor for three years terms, renewable; they must be Catholics in good standing with the Church. Karen Surbrugg, the parish business manager, attends the meetings without voting in order to provide and explain parish accounting, budgets, and spreadsheets to the members.

What We Do

Our ministry ensures compliance with financial policies and supports the parish’s mission. The Finance Council members are entrusted with the stewardship of parish properties and all funds.
