About Us

Following our patron saint’s example, we offer tangible assistance and spiritual support. Founded in 1833, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide organization of lay Catholics following Christ’s call to serve the poor, the suffering and the deprived. Members of this group work to raise funds for those in need, meet with them where they live, and help them pay bills and lend support.

Summer 2026 Update

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Guardian Angels has been very busy in the last few months, and thanks to your generosity, we have been able to help in numerous ways:

• Found lodging for a pregnant mom and her daughter who had been living in a truck during the heat wave
• Paid for dental work for an elderly woman
• Helped with payment for car repairs
• Provided the down payment on a low-income apartment for a family who had been living in a motel for the past 2 years
• Assisted a recent parolee by paying the overdue rent on a storage locker with his possessions
• Provided gas and food gift cards for an older gentleman who was leaving Colorado for a better situation in another state
• We continue to help with rent, utility, and phone payments plus provide gift cards for food and/or gas as the calls come into our hotline.

Your continued financial support and prayers make this possible, and we are very grateful.  As Vincentians, we are led by the virtues of Simplicity, Humility, Gentleness, Selflessness, and Zeal and to see the face of Jesus in each neighbor we meet.

What We Do

Through outreach programs, food pantries, and home visits, we provide essential resources (housing assistance, disaster relief, education, mentoring, dining halls, clothing, assistance with transportation, prescription medication, rent and utility costs) and spiritual guidance to those facing hardship. The Society also works to provide care for the sick, the incarcerated, and the elderly.

What We Need

Monetary donations are the biggest need so we can continue to assist with rent, utilities, telephone bills, car repairs, etc. for our neighbors in need. We have paid out over $8000 in the past six months in rental aid.

Financial donations may be dropped in the MEADANGELS Giving Weekend vase or the hallway SVdP Poor Box. Ongoing donations may be made using the offertory envelopes or by the church’s online giving portal. Thank you for your support and generosity.
