Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC): An EMHC’s ministry reflects not only a person’s response to their Baptismal call to serve the people of God, but a commitment to Christ as they share in the preaching, teaching, and leading aspects of the church.

Offering the Eucharist to a parishioner photoAbout Us

Our dedicated team is entrusted with this sacred responsibility during liturgical celebrations. This ministry offers the Eucharist, recognizes the Body of Christ in those who receive the Eucharist, and ultimately acts as the Body of Christ by fully participating in the life of the parish and the wider community.

What We Do

We assist in distributing the Eucharist during Mass, ensuring reverence and devotion. Approaching the altar with reverence, we distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful. It also involves being willing to commit to a regular schedule, preparing properly for service, and arriving promptly dressed appropriately for the scheduled Mass. EMHCs may also help bring the Eucharist to those who are homebound or in the hospital as the need arises in the parish.
