Parish Lay Leadership
The Parish Lay Leadership ministry offers an array of volunteer opportunities to support and serve the parish and it’s community. The Lay Leadership ministry provides our members with opportunities to serve the parish community by participating on various committees, councils, task forces and groups dedicated to the betterment of the parish environment and community. Although many opportunities to get involved are open throughout the year, the parish holds an annual Spring Ministry Weekend to educate and inform the parish community of the different services you can get involved to experience the rewards of sharing your time and talent.

Committees, Councils and Task Forces
Along with the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council is the main advisory body of parishioners to the pastor. They are mandated by Canon Law and governed by the diocesan norms of the Pastoral Handbook (available on line), Parts 7-11. They are entrusted with the stewardship of parish properties and all funds. Members are appointed by the pastor for three years terms, renewable; they must be Catholics in good standing with the Church. They meet on the second Thursday of the month. Karen Surbrugg, the parish business manager, attends the meetings without voting in order to provide and explain parish accounting, budgets, and spreadsheets to the members.
