SUMMARY:Society of St. Vincent de Paul Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The St. Vincent de Paul Society conference at Guardian Angels was formed in October 2021. Since that time our group has learned much about each other and our neighbors in need. We continue to provide assistance to neighbors in Mead\, Berthoud\, Longmont\, Platteville\, and other nearby communities. We provide not only material assistance such as rent\, utilities\, telephone bills\, fuel\, and groceries but also offer friendship\, understanding\, and prayer. \n  \nMost of the financial assistance we provide comes from the generosity of Guardian Angels parishioners. We provided almost $8000 in rent assistance locally over the previous year thanks\, in large part to the generosity of Guardian Angels parishioners. With growing needs\, we have already exceeded $8000 in rent assistance in the six months of the current fiscal year. \n  \nAttend this meeting to join our Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Guardian Angels so we can do more for those in need in our community. We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7 pm in the parish conference room and on Zoom.

Bring your nonperishable food item donations next weekend\, and the Knights of Columbus will be in the parking lots to assist with collection. Cash and gift cards are also welcome. \n\nMost needed items include:Cereal (nonsugared)\, hearty soups\, stews\, chili\, pasta and pasta sauce\, canned proteins\, dried or canned beans\, canned fruits and vegetables\, jelly\, rice\, granola bars\, healthy snacks\, toilet paper (4–6 roll packs)\, shampoo and conditioner (family and travel size)\, toothpaste\, deodorant\, shaving cream\, razors\, women’s personal hygiene products\, diapers and wipes\, chapstick\, sunscreen\, mouthwash\, toothbrushes\, body lotion\, and body wash. \nThank you for your generosity and for helping families in need.
