DESCRIPTION:The Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal is a vital initiative that supports the ministries and programs of our Catholic community. While most donations give hope\, support education\, and impart faith as they support 40+ ministries\, the Archdiocese allows our donations to be applied to our mortgage loan payment. \n  \nThe current loan balance is $1\,930\,250. Two scholarships of $2\,000 each will be awarded based on your application and essay. \n  \nEighth Graders: Planning to attend a Catholic high school in Fall 2025? Apply for the John “Jack” Juenemann Scholarship\, a $1\,000 award for one deserving student. \n  \nFor over 23 years\, the Knights of Columbus Council 1313 has proudly supported education\, awarding more than $40\,000 in scholarships. SUMMARY:Society of St. Vincent de Paul Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The St. Vincent de Paul Society conference at Guardian Angels was formed in October 2021. Since that time our group has learned much about each other and our neighbors in need. We continue to provide assistance to neighbors in Mead\, Berthoud\, Longmont\, Platteville\, and other nearby communities. We provide not only material assistance such as rent\, utilities\, telephone bills\, fuel\, and groceries but also offer friendship\, understanding\, and prayer. \n  \nMost of the financial assistance we provide comes from the generosity of Guardian Angels parishioners. We provided almost $8000 in rent assistance locally over the previous year thanks\, in large part to the generosity of Guardian Angels parishioners. With growing needs\, we have already exceeded $8000 in rent assistance in the six months of the current fiscal year. \n  \nAttend this meeting to join our Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Guardian Angels so we can do more for those in need in our community. We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7 pm in the parish conference room and on Zoom.
